I have to ask myself...why did we wait so long to have dinner here? I am not sure. We have been here two times, both for brunch. Both times the food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable. I decided for my birthday dinner that Eleven would be the place to celebrate. We got there a few minutes before our 5 pm reservation. We were greeted warmly and immediately seated. I love the vibe at Eleven. It is chic yet warm and relaxing. We were promptly greeted by our waiter (I am sorry that I cannot remember his name - I am so bad with names - he was fantastic). He was friendly, informative, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We ordered apps and drinks to start. I chose the sea scallops which were perfect and paired with a red flannel hash. I had never heard of red flannel hash before and all I have to say about that is...where have you been hiding red flannel hash? Wow...what flavors...beets (never a fan but now I know how good a beet can be), potatoes, amongst other miscellaneous good stuff. Who knew? I got the Sangria as well which is light and was a delight! The hubby got a beer (I cannot remember what he chose but it was terrific). He got the sashimi for his app which was fresh and refreshing. For my entree I chose the pork chop that came with grits. The meat, of course, cooked perfectly. And the grits in stick form and oh so delicious! The hubby got the steak and it came with mashed potatoes. Again the meat was perfect and the potatoes were creamy and amazing as well. Both pieces of meat fresh and tender and juicy. For dessert I got the spice cake in a little bit if apple cider with vanilla ice cream...wow! The hubby got the chocolate cake and ice cream...wow! And to end the meal a Carmel in sea salt that the pastry chef prepared...I just don't have the adjectives to describe how fabulous everything was. From beginning to end it was a truly awesome dining experience. Eleven, never let me down...so yummy!
