  • Buyers Beware....MUST READ for full story I purchased 6 tickets at $45.00 a pop (taxes), so I expected the same experience as last year. I also generated another 3 ticket sales by talking to co-workers about how cool this event was. Talk about a major kick to the groin. I will first give props to the 3 girls who worked the outside ticket line and the merchandise trailer. They were nice and fun to talk to. There was also one actor (at the very end) that got into his role and made for a 2 minute, intense interaction by playing his role. That is where the kudos end. First, we were forced into a large group of 5 people. We had two groups of three but were told we could not separate into two small groups. This event is ONLY made for 2-3 people per group. We also had extra tickets, so two of us went back through, again forced into a large group. Anything more than that makes for a crappy experience for the three middle people. We went in and right away, one of the weapons broke. DO NOT USE the small weapons. Use the Butt Stock weapon. The staff member laughed and said "yea, these things are garbage" and made us continue through over half the first part until someone at the third checkpoint finally gave us a new weapon. On multiple occasions, we were told that "we cant do anything about it (weapons), so just keep going". The middle group had no action as there WERE NO ZOMBIES. Perhaps maybe 20 through the entire event. That was for the first run only. The second time, two of us went through and there were a TOTAL of 9 zombies. There were so many narrow hallways and rooms that had NO zombies. I mean it was so lame, that people were getting upset over the lack of action. Again 45 per ticket! On my second run, the weapon broke (again) before we even went in. It would not register on the zombies, so the headgear did not alert the actors that they had been shot. The very first zombie walked all the way up to me, while I had the weapon firing in his face (12 inches away). He just laughed and said get a new weapon. The next 4 people told me that there was nothing that could be done and that the actors were to drop once they heard the weapon fire. They didn't at all. At the last part (graveyard), there was supposed to be a major showing of zombies, but we had NO zombies when we came through. In fact, we waited for 3 minutes and then finally, two zombies came walking back in laughing and talking to each other. They then saw the two of us and finally went into acting mode, which lasted 5 seconds. I basically walked through the entire event (Second trip) with a malfunctioning weapon. This event was straight up garbage. I wasted over 200 dollars and ticked off some friends because of the forced "large groups", lack of zombies, crappy acting, and poor usage of a 10 minute event. Yes folks, our dynamic walkthrough (first time) took just over 10 minutes. We slowed all the way down on the second trip just to get a zombie attacks, which NEVER happened. Also, there was a small girl (with short blond hair) that was running through the event by herself. I think she was a kid to one of the workers. Funny how she got to keep going through the event by her lonesome self, while everyone else suffered. As I left the event, I bought a t-shirt (very small amount) and a picture. When I got home, I went to wear the t-shirt and it reeked of diesel or generator oil. The shirt looked worn and faded, to where it looked like a cleaning rag. I don't think I can wear it due to the horrendous smell. It stinks, just like the event, so I wasted even more money. By all means, avoid this event. The owner bilked thousands of dollars and should be ashamed with his cut corners. Such a shame and I hope someone looks into this. With gear, I spent nearly 250 dollars, with friends spending another 120. Stay away from this event. Zombie Apocalypse???? Hardly. Go elsewhere!!!!!
