| - Welcome to Canada. And when you're leaving, welcome to the United States. Yes, there is an outpost of US Customs and Immigration here in the Great White North which means that you can be cleared here and when your plane lands in the US, you're good to go onwards. Of course, the folks working here are typical Americans and I think they don't really want to be working in Canada. So expect the usual brusqueness that perhaps you might not be used to if you've spent any time here.
Nicely laid out and well organized with excellent signage. Even my first time here, I had no trouble figuring out where the baggage claim is and how to get to the rental car area. Unlike many other airports (I'm looking down my nose at you, Fort Lauderdale and Baltimore), the rental car desks are right here and you do not have to take any sort of shuttle bus to get to them. Awesome.
The airport offers free wi-fi, like all the best airports should. And more than enough power outlets to be found.
Decent food services past security (which is not run by the TSA but adheres to TSA standards). Souvenirs are surprisingly inexpensive.
It's not really a complaint, per se, but it would be nice if the airport was closer to downtown Calgary. Because of this, I only spotted one gas station around the vicinity of the airport. But their price per liter (yes, liters in Canada) was very reasonably priced. Public transportation is available by bus to downtown.
Calgary is a hub for WestJet, but that's not my carrier and they don't fly to my home city (Charlotte).
