Poutineville was one of my stops in search of good food during my short and sweet trip to Toronto. Personally for me, in order to get a real sense of a good traditional poutine, there was no way I would not hesitate to have this popular dish in the Motherland of Poutine which I would like to call Canada even though it is the de facto dish of choice in Montreal. What sets Poutineville apart from others in the GTA is the fact that you can make your own custom poutine. I ordered a poutine with crushed potatoes, original gravy, cheese curds and the braised beef everyone talks about. The portions were good enough to last the whole day or two. Despite the neighbourhood it is located in, Poutineville makes a good sit down restaurant, especially for a date. They also have an AYCE menu with 5 poutine options. Parking is a hit or miss unless you are taking Uber or public transit. The server was friendly and made the experience something to remember. I will be back next time I adventure north of the border. I will be having my poutine with a glass of wine bundled up in a warm jacket.
