| - While some people have reviewed this for the food or what seems like non-peak hour based experiences... Every time I've come here, is exclusively for a nighttime music event. Based on that, I will say that there are a variety of great dj's that roll through this place and if you're coming for a specific event being thrown, this place is one of my favourites.
The room is what I'd define as "small to medium" sized. I believe the capacity is under 200 people, which is just enough size for good vibes but the place is never crowded to the point of not being able to move. The soundsystem is solid, and there are tall ceilings and an open feel to the room which means I've never noticed myself overbearingly sweaty, hot, or crowded when on the dancefloor.
Bonus cool points: Not enough "dance clubs" actually serve pints of craft beer, so I was happy when last time I was here I got to sip on some pints of Side Launch Pale Ale.
The crowd is usually one of the least pretentious demographics, and not even as hipster-based as what you'll find in a lot of other Kensington Market bars, but this may also be more specific to the promoters who have used the venue during my attendance. But since I love it when promoters do use this place, 5 stars it is!
Sidenotes: Coatcheck is generally available, and there is a bank machine on site however it kinda sucks since you can't withdraw more than $100 and has a $3 service fee.
