  • What great service! We came home one late Saturday evening to find our garage door opener making loud clicking and grinding noises. I called A1 based on the multiple great reviews they have on Yelp and I have to say, I was not disappointed. A gentlemen answered the phone professionally at 9pm at night and promised a technician would be out the next day (Sunday) between 11am and 1pm. I woke the next day and about 9am received a phone call from Matt saying that he was in the area and he could stop by earlier if convenient for me. Ten minutes later he was in my driveway diagnosing the issue. Turns out I needed new springs and a new garage door opener. I agreed to the service and he began the work right away. He came fully prepared and stocked and within an hour and a half I have a fully functional garage door that was quieter than before. I found Matt to be extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He was more than willing to show me why my garage door had failed and upon finishing the job showed me the best way to maintain the door and opener so as not to have issues in the future. I'd like to mention that I have had contractors out in the past that tend to complain about the companies they work for (which doesn't instill one with a sense of confidence) but I found that Matt spoke highly of A1 and the integrity inherent within the company. Cost is a major factor in deciding a rating and, even though I have nothing to compare A1's cost to, I feel confident that I got a decent price. Also, make sure that you take advantage of their coupons they have on their website; the cost to me for both springs and garage door opener ended up being about $610 with tax. I would highly recommend Matt and A1 to anyone needing garage door repair. Thanks again to Matt and A1 for exceeding my expectations and making this repair as quick and painless as possible.
