Van Horne restaurant racks up over $16,000 in hygiene infractions Posted on 5/2/2015 5:26:00 AM by Emily Campbell In a stomach turning revelation, a Montreal restaurant has garnered over $16,000 in fines over 2013 and 2014 for failing to meet hygiene standards. Restaurant Bahay Kubo serves Filipino cuisine on Van Horne and Victoria, according to Le Journal, the restaurant has received 31 visits by inspectors since 2006 and has been closed five times for unhealthy practices. They have incurred 11 fines for 30 infractions including keeping food at unsafe temperatures, plus investigators found spoiled food, dirty conditions, and multiple persistent cockroach infestations.
