I got my nose pierced by Hot Rod's owner, Tim. These guys know their stuff. It's a very clean and non-threatening place. All tools they use to pierce are individually wrapped and sanitized. They do a thorough job of going over after-care with you, and they give you a sheet that explains everything you need to know, along with some sea salt to clean the piercing with. The only thing that I found to be only slightly disappointing was the lack of selection for first time nose studs. Regardless, I ended up just getting a standard 20 gage stainless steel with synthetic diamond stud. It cost me $50 altogether. The piercer will draw a dot with Sharpie on your nose in the place where you want the piercing to be. The actual piercing process hurts a bit, but it is quick, and they are sensitive to people with different pain tolerances. The nose piercing is custom fit to your nose, as they hand shape the inside part to best suit the shape of your nostril. They are also willing to help you out with your piercing in the future if it becomes infected or if you need it adjusted. Hot Rod has been recommended to me, and I would definitely recommended it to others!
