We had four cupcakes from this Gigi's location. They looked fancy. They were packaged prettily. The cake to frosting ratio seemed 1:1, by both height and weight.
The frosting was rock hard and the cake was dry and dense. The paper was solidly glued to the cake. I'd guess they were a week or so old, and not stored properly. Of course the staff claimed they were freshly made that day. Perhaps it's true. If so, they've got even worse problems.
We tasted three of them. Didn't bother with the fourth. We all agreed: "hilariously disgusting". We had great fun getting percussive thunks out of these poor cupcakes.
