This fancy dining spot in downtown Phoenix makes you feel like you travelled back in time. Guests enter through the kitchen, where they're greeted by a very friendly staff. This sorta makes you feel like a VIP. In fact, the waiters and hosts are very cordial too, and sipping on my gin martini I could have sworn I was a movie star. The walls are red velvet, which helps this fantasy.
I had the plain Caesar salad with a side of mashed potatoes. That might sound like a sad meal, but I'm telling you, it was the best dang salad and mashed potatoes I've had in a while. Others at the table went a more traditional route and got steak, which I tried and enjoyed.
It was also the birthday of one member of our table and they offered us a free dessert. We got the creme brûlée trio and it was epically delicious.
I had a lot of fun here, but I was grateful the check didn't come to me. Most items on the menu are around $35. But hey, sometimes you gotta feel fancy.
