How can you not love the incline? (Unless you are afraid of heights, I suppose).
It's fun to take the historic ride. There is a parking lot at the foot of the incline that has a decently affordable hourly rate. (It used to be free). You could also park at the top and come down, but it's harder to find parking at the top.
It helps to be at the front of the line for the best seating and views, but really there isn't a bad seat anywhere. They do a nice job making sure the cars aren't overcrowded. The inside of the cars have seen better days, but overall they aren't bad.
The only down side to the incline is the requirement for exact change and no option to pay with credit or debit. In today's society a lot of people don't carry cash with them. There is a change machine, but know that if you use it you'll get your change back in coins.
