| - All best westerns are so different, but i found out that although they are linked by calling one number for reservation, they are a franchise, so each Bw is separately owned and they compete against each other. Although it looks like it's in a bad area in Google maps, it's actually a nice hotel in an ok neighborhood we could walk back to at night.
Pros of this BW:
Very reasonable price - cheaper than a lot of other hotels at the time we booked.
Exercise room
Free breakfast
Near a main metro station
Near place de arts
A short block from the information center that sells the montreal city pass
Clean room, beds, towels, bathroom
Lots of table and bathroom sink space
Friendly and helpful staff
Large lobby and tables to eat at during breakfast.
Cons:
Far from main bustling downtown
Soap, shampoo and conditioner were really small and wasn't replenished the next day.
Air con was very noisy so was hard to sleep at night
No pool.
Overall, I'd return again, especially because they have free breakfast and close to the metro station. Although walking the opposite way of going place de arts looked a bit sketchy, we were fine walking at night.
