| - When I first moved into the area (around 2008), I went at the suggestion of a friend and had a couple of stylists (and instructors) that were amazing! I felt like it was a steal for double the price so I was giving tips left, right and centre.
Since then, I don't know, but it's really gone downhill. The last couple of times I went about maybe two years ago, it was horrible. The first haircut took only two hours and I left looking like I never got my hair cut - it was like the stylist was too afraid to do anything. The next time I was there for like 2.5 hours waiting painfully while the instructor gave the stylist a full-out schooling. When the instructor left, the stylist started complaining to me how he was "on loan" from the Don Mills location and that he was a better stylist than the instructor - he was so good that, again, it looked like I hadn't got a haircut. In fact, I had to book something somewhere else the next week.
My husband also went and he said never, ever again. Simple guy's haircut they screwed up. The instructor had to come and finish it and it still looked bad - uneven sideburns and the front looked like they left him with a bit of a bald spot. He was also in the chair for two hours in total. I felt sorry for him but, luckily, his hair grows quickly.
They also kept promising that they would have me as a "model" to demonstrate the Keratin (Japanese hair straightening) but no such luck ...
