| - I'm from the west end, and I drive east to get my meat. Hands down, my favourite butcher downtown. There are other great butchers too, but when you receive quality AND service? It's a win win. The gentlemen here are helpful, friendly, and generous with their time... even when it's busy.
They'll cut you steaks right from the loin, even if there are cuts already on display. Dry aged, local, farm identified steaks are a plenty, always well marbled, and priced fairly. I've never been disappointed with my meals, there's a buttery, nutty, Parmesan quality to the meat that you just can't get at a big shop. The sirloin cap is a must, and the striploin & ribeyes can't be beat.
Also, try the ground pork, bacon, and skin&bone-on chicken breasts, all winners in my book. The terrine and salamis are also amazing.
