Despite being a student at the adjoining Brainstation in the fall, I never had the opportunity to grab a coffee here. Quantum is a a gorgeous space no argument here. A large open concept with limited seating in one area only.
Quantum is also innovative and they've figured out a great way to temper potential coffee shop traffic jams. They do this by getting you to place and pay for your order to the right hand side of the shop, then you need to go to the opposite counter to the left side of the space (fat left) to pick up your order.
This idea is great for flow, but is the reason why seating is limited. Had this layout been more traditional, one side or the other could have been dedicated to seating. There IS seating in the meeting hall of the school to the rear, however the coffee shop takes a back seat to anything the school might be doing - even if they just decide to do nothing. I was told I couldn't go there bc the school had a talk planned, 3 hours passed and nothing happened the seats and hall remained empty.
The coffee, unlike the seating gap, is awesome! I had an americano and it was fab and super strong. Had me shaking and twitching for a solid 5 hours after.
Definitely a great location and great shop for on the go coffee.
