I have come close to buying a cool guitar here a couple of times. it's a compliment that they stock some decent stuff like Bill Nash and Fender and even that cursed Gibson company whose guitars are stupidly expensive now while it's not getting any easier to find a good one. They did have a nice used Historic 57 Les Paul Goldtop recently, priced at thousands more than a new one used to be of course but not really their fault.
The KAOS guys are engaging and fairly knowledgeable about guitar brands and models. You can kind of just talk about your search for the next perfect guitar and I appreciate that. These guys love guitars.
Maybe they don't know everything about guitars. They had a (sanded-neck) Nash electric in the acoustic room, they were trying to re-humidify the neck since the fret ends were sprouting. I found this odd, as I believe it's fairly common knowledge that newer unsealed maple WILL slightly shrink as the wood continues to dry out - and this is desirable, by this process the wood is now stabilizing and will sound better. This info is right on Nash's website too, the design is very intentional. All Kim Mitchell's Nash guitar needed was a gentle pass over the ends with a fret dressing file... because adding more heavy dead-sounding water back into that neck wasn't going to make it sound better & anyway it's an uphill battle keeping it humidified isn't it, wouldn't you rather the instrument stay settled & equalized to the regular ambient humidity? So that was a funny moment having to explain that... maybe they thought I was crazy, hard to tell. But super nice guys.
Check this place out, cool especially for the 'burbs. They seem to be doing well. And I hope Mitchell's Nash S-series is too. You're welcome man!
