  • I was extremely anxious to have to file for my TOURIST visa through this company. I read so many reviews online about horrendous experiences through BLS. Before submitting my application I double checked and triple checked that I had everything completed and included in the application. I arrived at one location in the middle of the day and they said it was a two to three hour wait to be served. So I tried another location and arrived half an hour before they open. I noticed that my number category wasn't coming up on their TV screen prompt, so I asked them about it. The worker spoke to the clerks and then the people working at the counter started taking from my category after 1 hour of me waiting. * I think that showing up before they open is the wisest thing to do. There was a line that had already formed before they even opened in the morning. They insisted that they ship out my visa to my address once it's completed. I told him that I wanted to pick it up. She was upset about this. I don't care how she feels about it. I heard horror stories about it getting lost in the process and I don't have time for that. Within a couple of days I could see that it was already being processed at the consulate. Within about less than 15 days it was ready for pickup. I went to pick it up and I was able to be served with in 30 minutes. Everything looks fine. There was one minor error on the passport regarding how many times will be entering India. I hope the customs in India doesn't give me any problems about this. I have a friend who also applied for her visa and it was mailed out to her house even though she explicitly told them she wanted to pick it up. They charged her for this fee without her noticing it. Either way she had it processed within a two week period, and it was delivered to her home without any problems, and no errors on the visa. I think a lot of the complaints that people are putting forward are for special types of visa and not for the tourist visa. I feel like the tourist visa process is a lot simpler than the other types of visas that people are applying for. There are a lot of bad reviews online for this company but I am relieved to say that I have had a relatively positive experience with the process. Some workers are real b.tches for no reason, and a few are just fine. * For submission, I would encourage you to show up before they open and line up outside. * Arrive before the pick up time starts and get a ticket early. I did that and I was out of there in 30 mins. * Hang on to your receipt, because they ask for it when you pick up your visa. It looks like from my reading that other people are having negative experiences for other types of visa and because the information and documentation that is required is not clearly outlined in the application or on the website . So do your reading and see what they requested of other people. I hope they update the website to make people's lives easier. I hope this review was helpful for you.
