I was kinda disappointed with this joint after all the hype...
The service was awesome, the ambiance was fine. But the food? I wouldn't go out of my way to return. I ordered the chicken soup -Tom Kah Kai , the flavors were a delight. However I think it had been sitting on the warmer half the evening ergo the chicken was rubbery and over cooked. The garlic shrimps I had were far too greasy. It was completely unappetizing.
My other half had the nam prik ong. It was alright, but he was unsure as to why it was the best dish Ming Tsai ever had. Mr. Man was completely underwhelmed... We've had Pok Pok (in Portland, OR) sticky rice, sticky rice at home, and many other restaurants. But here? It wasn't very good. Just sticky and cold. Only good for a bonding agent.
I would not recommend a return visit. It seems like they're just trading on their reputation.
