There are few things in life that bring me as much joy as Sunday brunch. When I heard Coca Cafe was one of the best brunch spots in Pittsburgh, I had to stop by to judge for myself.
Tip #1: Use the Nowait app otherwise you'll be standing around for at least an hour waiting for a table.
Almost all the menu items were vegetarian - great first impression. I took a walk on the wild side and went with the Shakshuka. Contrary to the menu description, it was not spicy at all. Although I found my meal to be very enjoyable, it was not exactly the mind blowing experience I was expecting. My boyfriend felt the same about his Avocado Omelette.
The service was one of the worst experiences I've had in a while. Aside from the painfully slow service, our waitress brought out the wrong drinks then overcharged us on the bill.
I would agree, the food here tastes great, but definitely NOT worth wasting half my precious Sunday morning for. On to the next brunch spot.
