  • The Italian Region of Tuscany has given the World one of its greatest cuisines. Whether you consider yourself an aficionado or simply one who loves excellent Italian Food, and you are seeking a very special dining experience, we would like to suggest you treat yourself to an evening at Tomaso's. You will be very glad you did! Tomaso's on Camelback is beautifully appointed and provides an elegant environment in which to thoroughly enjoy the creations of Chef Tomaso and his Staff. The Restaurant Staff is extremely professional and welcoming, very knowledgeable, and unobtrusively attentive in catering to their guests. I was a guest of an old friend who had invited me to partner with him in a golf tournament and I wanted to treat him to a special dinner in appreciation. We both happen to share a special affinity for "Pappardelle al Cinghiale" (a Wide Noodle Pasta in a Wild Boar Sauce) that is very difficult to find outside of Tuscany. Just on a whim, I went on Tomaso's Web Site to inquire about the possibility of them making us "Pappardelle al Cinghiale" one evening - Quite frankly, I didn't expect to even receive an acknowledgement of my inquiry, much less a response and that would be positive - so, what a delightful surprise it was when just a couple of hours later, I received a very warm response from Ms. Rosie Delgado, the Restaurant Manager, saying "Chef Tomaso would be delighted to....!" I was grinning from ear to ear and when I told my friend what was in store for us, he was as every bit as excited as I. We arrived 15 minutes before our Reservation and when the waiter who greeted our entrance checked the computer, he grinned and said "Ah "Pappardelle al Cinghiale"- my favorite!" and as he led us to our table and seated us, we both were immensely impressed that, not only were we expected but it was known for what we'd come! Shortly after we were seated and even before we had selected a bottle of Chianti from the extensive Wine List, Chef Tomaso came to greet us and genuinely made us feel special. In addition to the requested Pappardelle, we deferred to Chef Tomaso's recommendations and we were treated to a fabulous meal that consisted of five separate courses - an Appetizer of molten Mozzarella in a crust of perfectly seasoned bread crumbs, our specially requested "Pappardelle al Cinghiale" (just like I remembered from Tuscany!), a perfect Lemon Veal Entrata, a delicious Sauvignon Dessert, concluding with a Chocolate Digestivo - each course presented and served elegantly. Chef Tomaso returned a couple of more times, even sitting with us for a few minutes, checking in on how we were enjoying ourselves and Ms. Delgado did the same. In true European Style, we lingered in very relaxed fashion for over three hours! Both of us have traveled the world extensively and agreed that nowhere have we experienced a better meal! In summary.... For Fine Italian Cuisine, an Elegant Environment, Impeccable, Attentive and Accommodating Service, I highly recommend Tomaso's on Camelback. Buon Appetito!
