| - It is very difficult to give Ultimate Concrete Coatings even 1 star because of the poor workmanship, poor customer service, no show appointments and broken promises. We did our due diligence in checking them out before we spent $8500 to have all of the concrete surfaces in our backyard covered with their product in November 2014 with promises that it was equivalent to a commercial application.
We were delighted with the outcome after the installation, until we started experiencing chipping and cracking, etc. after a short period of under several months. When using the garden hose to clean the deck pieces were chipping off, cracks have reappeared, and the energy spent making phone calls to get them out here to fix the problems, taking time off work for appointments that became no-shows, and the entire lack of customer service lead us to say "DON'T USE THIS COMPANY EVER" unless you enjoy being disappointed and frustrated after spending a lot of money and wasting an enormous amount of time and energy to TRY to get it fixed or at least to get compensated for the lousy product they sell. It would take dozens of calls and an average of 6 months to get an appointment only for them to blow us off. Two people live here so it's not like we have kids running all over but even if we did, they said it is commercial grade and that you can drive a car over it. I call BS!
We have spent the past 18+ months trying to get this resolved, and after numerous no-shows, today was the last straw. They were supposed to be here between 12-4 and my husband took the afternoon off work only for them to show up at 5:20 without so much as a text message or phone call saying they were running late. I don't know what they expected to accomplish at this hour when nightfall is 30 minutes away, but this is par for the course. We spent several hours cleaning the deck and marking the spots to be fixed with blue painters tape. When they didn't show by 4:30, we pulled up the blue tape and in one spot, it pulled up their product in about a 4 inch diameter. There are other areas with discoloration and just a lot of chips, cracks, etc., etc. I wish I could post pictures so you can see what a disaster it is, and an expensive one at that.
When they came to the door late today, we told them we are DONE and will file complaints with the BBB and ROC to attempt to get some money refunded for the crap that they sold us and for the aggravation and time wasted in trying to get the matter resolved. Frankly, we are surprised they are still in business. Save yourself time and hassle and go with travertine or a solid overlay, instead of the crappy bandaid these guys sell. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED, that's a guarantee they don't tell you. We feel obligated to tell you the truth.
