| - I normally wouldn't post to complain about a place, especially a grocery store. However, this evening I thought to myself that I would like to go grocery shopping and I hadn't been to sprouts in a while and to my surprise I was struck by a thought. I haven't been since I was treated with such disrespect one evening. Subconsciously my mind was telling me I didn't want to be there! One evening a girlfriend and I went in to grab a few items, 3-4 items at the most. As we were walking toward the only open line a nice young lady, brunette, waved us down despite her lane saying it was closed, I asked if she was sure cause I had noticed the sign beforehand. Toward the end of checking out a older blonde woman, who I was assuming was a supervisor, approached did not acknowledge us at all, and said in a passive aggressive way (clearly directed at us) "when would you like me to check you out of your shift cause your lane should have already been closed." The poor brunette was clearly uncomfortable because she knew that she had waved us down to check out in her lane. I then graciously thanked the clerk after paying for my items and started to walk toward the door, when I heard the blonde supervisor say loudly, " I hope she thanked you monetarily since they had forced you to keep your lane open for them." Call me crazy but a person in a position of authority should not be making assumptions. We had absolutely no problem with the young brunette clerk. In fact she was a wonderful example of a hard worker and an overachiever, flagging us down despite having already been closed. Her supervisor, the blonde woman, could learn a lesson or two from the example that was set by the clerk. Long story short, I live about a stones throw from Sprouts Market and before this event I was a regular, buying everything from laundry detergent to produce. But after this experience I subconsciously avoided Sprouts for a month now, when I was averaging twice a week visits.
