| - With this being my third (and likely last) pregnancy, it was important for me to find a Dr. that has excellent bedside manner, actually listens and doesn't push off concerns that may actually be important to the client. My husband and I struck absolute gold with Dr. Tanita. Two pregnancies with severe hyperemesis- and I was more than worried about doing this again for the third time, but alas, maternal instinct said we needed one more. I cannot explain how nice it was to go in and be vulnerable and say- "Hey, this complication really scares me, and it's constantly on my mind and I'm fearful of being in hospitals non-stop again, and needing re-hydration, and IV nutrition.... what can we do in case this happens again?" He had a plan of action and actually took the time to walk me through it so I didn't feel like when/if it struck, I'd be out on a limb panicking about whether to go to an ER or how I could get ahold of them.
When I did eventually start needing assistance from the morning sickness, the nurse immediately got back to me after leaving a message and the plan of action was immediately put into effect. Surprisingly, now almost 11 weeks, this is my first pregnancy WITHOUT hyperemesis. The staff when you walk in remembers you, are happy and genuinely enjoy their working environment. Everyone there goes that extra mile which is how medical care should be.
