| - This is a fun place to go for any type of occasion. The service fluctuates very much, however. As a very frequent customer I have seen both immaculate service and absolutely dreadful service. They are usually pretty busy on the weekends, especially at night. You should try and call ahead for availability and wait time. Hopefully the hostess answering the phone is not rude- one time I was appalled as I inquired about a fairly large group on a busy night then got hung up on. Thinking it was a fluke I had a friend of mine try to call and the same thing happened to her. We ended up not going there that night.
The food is good, you basically build your own bowls with the option of using their recommended meal cards... Which I never do. I am always sure to stack my bowl up high and experiment with different sauces and seasonings. The grill staff is usually very entertaining although when crowded there is a lot of congestion and confusion surrounding the grill. The rice and tortillas supplied to the table is a pleasant addition to the cooked meal. The waiters are not always the best at refilling drinks, rice, and tortillas, however.
The cleanliness can sometimes also be a concern. I caution those with allergies as cross contamination is very possible with the sloppiness of some people when creating their bowls. I have been there on some days when the counter was covered with various meats, vegetables, and sauces. Some days, however, it is sparkling clean.
Ultimately, this is a safe joint to go to if you are looking for a fun, different dining experience. Be warned that service and cleanliness fluctuate- you never know what you are going to get from either on any given day. Not the best place in the world but certainly a good place to frequent.
