| - *THE SECOND COMING*
For starters I relied on the Family Market when It was near Richmond Road SW. After the move... it took me a few years to brave the confidence of getting in my car and finding the darn place... Let's just say I toke a detour through the industrial section of the SE Calgary before driving by the place twice... finally I found the road that led to the main entrance. The new location is hard to get to, but the building is new and spacious.
The Parking was somewhat of a challenge, yet better conditions compared to the old location (where there was pot holes, no lines to park properly and chain fences to divide quarters of the parkade). I chose to park 2 blocks away near a law firm. And walk the distance during high noon (not a smart decision). Inside I was delightfully amused and happy to see old shoppe's and new vendors providing a large selection of GLUTEN FREE products, Vegan options and fresh produce.
The Cherry Pit is my favourite place to buy crates of Black Berries and freeze them for smoothies during the winter season. I bought a 2 pound bag of Baby Cukes for $9.00 and $24.00 worth of Berries. The prices were reasonable, the space is larger and easier to maneuver my bags and myself through heavy crowds. At the end of the mall is a lovely Food Court promoting fresh, organic and healthy options. Simple Simon's pie has also gone GF, aswell as the pastry places (finally, I can have Cupcakes again!).
Wither its Fresh honey, handmade goods/ crafts, canned or pickled products the love, and quality is obvious... Farmers Market has just about EVERYTHING you're hearts content would ever need!
*FYI* I must also mention the wash room has been renovated, with an earthy industrial feel and yes they've hired full time staff to clean and restock toilet paper!!!
