I grew up in the NYC suburbs, where neighborhood pizzerias are all over. I've spent the last seven years looking for a place that does veal the way I knew it. (Not a veal patty. GAG. Not almost-beef. Real. Fresh. Veal.) where I won't go broke getting dinner. Well, I found it!
The first time I ordered from here, I got a chicken parm sandwich, and to be honest, I wasn't impressed. About a year later, I decided to give them another shot and I'm awfully glad I did! My veal parm dinner was $20, but worth it. I would've taken a photo, but I'm sure you don't care to see the few smears of sauce left in the tin. :)
Last week I got the ten inch cheese pizza. Generally, I like my pizza bubbling hot, but Montesanos pie is even awesome at room temperature! And they're not stingy with the cheese. I hate when I order a pie and there's a one inch wide ring of sauce with no cheese on it. Lame. Montesanos puts their cheese right to the edge of the crust - like they read my mind!
Another cool thing? The staff greets regulars by name - they make a point of remembering you. I dig that.
