| - Oh man, what a letdown.
My boyfriend and I are huge Chipotle enthusiasts, so of course attended the Chipotle Cultivate Festival when it was in Phoenix. The event took place at Westworld, a large field in Scottsdale and there was plenty of parking, $5 per car.
Once we arrived, we were given a booklet of information about the event and the displays we'd have to visit to get stamps. If you visit at least 5 of the 6 displays there and got their respective stamps, you could pick up a "Free Chipotle" card which could be redeemed for a free burrito, burrito bowl, etc.
The event was relatively dull. It was on a LARGE open field and we made it a point to visit all the displays, try most of the food, and visit the chef exhibition plus the music stage. The exhibitions were nice and informational, but there wasn't much to look at/do. The long lines weren't worth it.
Furthermore, the food and drinks were pricey, but I guess that's to be expected for a large festival. Nothing they served there was particularly good. We didn't finish any of the dishes. The chef cooking demos were okay.
Overall, a very whatever event.
