I've been going back and forth with Buy Rite. They have serviced my refrigerator 3 times and are not able to eliminate a sound that is absolutely not common for any home appliance. I was asked to record the noise and after about a week I was fortunate to be near the frig when the noise happened and recorded the last few seconds of the sound.
On the second visit from Buy Rite the machine made the same noise and the mechanic was shocked by the sound and its volume. He ordered a part and was schedule to come back a 3rd time. On this 3rd visit the technician replaced a part and the frig made the same noise again! This time the tech tried to tell me that the noise was normal and that he didn't hear anything abnormal.
I called to Samsung customer service and they scheduled me for another service appointment with Buy Rite. They called me this morning and initially they were prepared to schedule me for an appointment. The customer service-less female told me I needed to record the sound again, since it's random (every hour or so) so the tech will be able to identify the problem. I explained that the tech heard the sound before while doing a repair and I was able to play back for him the sound I captured on my phone. The female asked me to hold...about 1 minute later came back to the line and told me to call back to Samsung and have them assign another repair service for my problem. They know exactly what they are doing when they shift me to another company. This will relieve them of the responsibility of either replacing my refrigerator or buying it back from me at cost. That is according to my warranty.
I have been trying to get this rectified since the last week of July!
