Amazing! As a tourist in these parts--I encourage fellow tourists to make this place an eating priority when visiting Phoenix. When looking for a food gem out of town, Sacred Hogan rates off the charts.
The place isn't much to look at. It's a tired looking spot in a rugged srip-center, but what it dishes out as far as food is spectacular. I was lured here by Alexander C's description of the frybread taco. The description seemed unreal, fictional--beyond the scope of human comprehension. I was floored to actually see it on the menu.
I went with the red chile taco and a frybread all on its lonesome with honey as desert. The taco is just as luminous as Alexander C. describes it. Furthermore, the Navajo Taco tastes just as amazing as it looks. I'm going to have to make this place a personal pilgrimage. The frybread on it's own is an equal delight.
What was the icing on the cake? Shasta soda in the cooler. Nostalgia and deliciousness--it doesn't get any better than this!
