| - Like DC C. I really wanted Indochino to work. Summer was coming and I was ready to lose a couple of kilos and impress in some lighter business suits. It was my first custom suit experience in TO. Ordered two suits in late June expecting to wear them in early August. Measurements were friendly, detailed and precise and gave me full confidence that all the custom sizing was taken care of. My suits were delivered well within time and on arrival for my appointment at the showroom I immediately noticed that the jackets were way too small, almost comically so. In fact the whole suit was wrongly sized, too small, too tight and obviously not reflecting my original measurements. The tailor was very surly and starting talking to me about the algorithms and reception/interpretaion in Shanghai.... totally irrelevant for me. I, as a "client" do not need to know that the algos are wrong. I just need to know that firstly, that there is an air of apology, maybe some regret that the suits are wrongly sized and not an impression of "We in Toronto are not responsible for what the people in Shanghai deliver". I need to know immediately about the options of correction, replacement or my money returned. The tailor stood back and said "Well if you don't like it, you do know that we will have to do a remake and that will take more time". Well, if the suit is one or two sizes too small.... I have no chance to wear it at all. So he sighed and said "OK.... we will HAVE to do a remake, but that will take another four weeks, please be aware of that". So after more measurements and ipad photos and four weeks later my remade suits were delivered to King Street East. They are excellent and fit perfectly. So in the end it worked out. The only thing is that Labour Day has come and gone and my summer suits will be covered with an raincoat within two weeks. I think that if King St East Indochino truly starts to understands that the client is always king in all ways, and they treat every single client like an ambassador for their brand and business, then they will be successful. I might even be back there next year too as well.
