Came in here with friends at the beginning of Restaurant Week last summer.
Turkey meatballs were a nice start from the 3 course meal. Satisfying; neither salty nor overtly meaty. The marinara sauce complimented it rather than drowned it. It also had onions to taste, but I detest onions.
Main entree was lovely, grilled salmon in a bed of black and red quinoa with hidden mandarin oranges! It gave a rather subtle but zesty flavor and the quinoa wasn't too mushy. Grilled salmon was soft, didn't make me feel like I had a mercury overdose, and wasn't oily. Each slice of it was velvety to my tastebuds. I normally don't eat grilled salmon but this definitely deserves a thumbs up from me. I also had a small bite of chicken sandwich to try - it wasn't dry, slightly smokey, but the honey mustard overpowered it for me as it was too strong for my liking.
Dessert definitely filled me up since we all ordered the Brookie- basically a play on words of brownie and cookie topped with ice cream. I liked how its not too sweet (the ice cream gave the brownie and cookie a nice hint of sweetness) and it reminded me of brownies that my mom used to bake me when I was young.
Overall, our dining experience was satisfactory. Although I did like how the restaurant boasts using organic ingredients and exercised the farm-to-table concept, the food didn't really stun me as I hoped it would. It might have been because it was the hottest day of the year (close to 117 degrees) so coming in felt rather draining. I'll probably give them another chance on their half off Monday menu.
