  • Do NOT go here. I moved here 3 years ago and picked Refresh off of a list of dentists my new insurance suggested. I always had simple, pleasant visits here until my last appointment this past spring. When I showed up, it was all new hygienists and a new dentist and when I asked what happened to the previous staff, they got standoffish with me and seriously wouldn't even tell me where he moved to. After that, my hygienist proceeded to pick apart the quality of my teeth, saying I had staining that could be fixed with some $50 paste and I definitely need the fluoride treatment for another $60. The entire time she cleaned my teeth I felt like she was just forcing products on me that I was trying to politely and repeatedly decline. I was already very irritated with the visit and not planning on returning again when the dentist came in and told me I had not one, not two, but NINE cavities. I go to the dentist every 6 months. I brush twice a day, don't smoke. Haven't had a cavity since I was 12 so there was no way I was going to be conned into thinking I needed 9 fillings for cavities that miraculously appeared in 6 short months since my last visit with the previous dentist. I was infuriated at how they were treating me. The dentist then quit addressing me at all and spoke to his hygienist to book me 3 separate appointments for the fillings as if I weren't even present. I told her I'd be calling back after I check my work schedule because I just needed out of that place and knew I would not be returning. As I walked past the front desk knowing my copay would cover the visit, the receptionist stopped me and told me I owed money for the whitening paste I had requested. I laughed in her face and said I told the hygienist repeatedly that I did not want any pastes or treatments so I would not be paying a dime out of pocket for my visit that day. Do you want to know the best part? I went to a new dentist today that a friend at work recommended. I pre-warned them of my bad experience at the last place and after doing my X-rays and exam, ZERO cavities. Not even any watch areas. This Refresh office is completely unprofessional. Not only do they clearly not know dentistry, but they act like businessmen trying to swindle you into buying all of their products when they have no real care for their work. Pitiful. I hope they get shut down and the dentist loses his job permanently. If he honestly misidentified 9 cavities that didn't exist, he definitely shouldn't be practicing. And if he lied to cheat me as a patient out of money and put me through unneeded painful procedures, he has very poor and questionable ethics.
