I am so lucky to live so close to Red Rock. I love that I can ride my bike from my house to Red Rock and do the 13 mile loop and ride home. It is free if you enter on a bike. It is a tough ride with several hills. I do it on my mountain bike because I am a bad ass, but you can do it on your rode bike and it will be much easier. Ha!
They also sell yearly passes that I believe are selling for 30.00 now. It is cash or check only. This is a pain as I never carry cash. They also sell a pass that is I believe around 75.00 and that will get you into all or most of the National Parks. That is great deal if you plan on traveling during the year. Anyway, the passes are nice just because the money goes to helping the upkeep of the parks.
They also have great hiking for all ages. Just be careful and stay on the trails. I hate when I hear all the sirens going out there. I know something bad happened. People fall all the time. There are also snakes in the summer so do not put your little paws in the snake holes and keep your eyes open on he trails.
This is a great place for families or to just come alone if you want to take a relaxing 13 mile drive. It is fun to do the drive when the storms are coming in. The mountains looks gorgeous.
