| - Ambiance is outstanding at Tao in the Venetian hotel. I had one meal of choice during my work trip to Vegas and I chose Tao. The Open Table reservation was easy, and Tao even called ME the day before to confirm, nice!
Our party of three enjoyed the sexy stylings of Tao- in one room you've got a 16-foot Buddha with a wall of white votives, in another you've got a wall of eye popping multicolored squares with objects embedded, they've got an upstairs as well. Everything is just gorgeous.
The short rib appetizer special melted in your mouth, and service was on point all night, explaining the specials and checking in on us frequently. I had their specialty sea bass in a miso reduction over braised vegetables. At first it didn't wow me, but the more I ate it, the better it got! Very good dish.
Everything our table ordered was outstanding, and I would love to come back to try their sushi and specialty rolls. I think my only complaint is that Tao advertises a dress code, but then you do see LV tourists traipsing in with their shorts and sandles. I guess it's inevitable, but wish Tao would keep to the code, as it's a nice place that deserves nicer dress.
