  • Poolman has been horrible! Our landlords agreed to the offer Poolman was running which stated: "Your Salt System is FREE when you are on service with us & a customer in good standing." When I found out our pool was getting converted to saltwater I jumped with joy! That is, until I found out how horrible this company really is. Honestly, I am not one to complain about B.S. or minor inconsistencies, but I'm telling you, I've had ridiculously horrible customer service with this place, including shotty repairs and overall lack of maintenance (or any knowledge whatsoever) of my pool. I COULD DO A BETTER JOB MYSELF!!!! For instance: We didn't have the right suction on our pool vacuum & the pool guy said something about a part we needed. But that was only after weeks of it not sucking correctly. I have had to bring up every single problem with our pool to this company's attention. He brought the part but it apparently was the wrong part. Suction was still too much & the vacuum would catch multiple times a day on the pool light & not move from that position. Within 3 months, the BRAND NEW $500 vacuum needed a new $40 part because the suction irregularity. This was only found out after I spent 15 minutes with the pool guy trying to figure out why this shit was broken. A few times after cleaning, our pool hose become dislodged & it wasn't until I went out there a couple days later I noticed it's not connected at all. We've had a major issue with our pool filter shooting water EVERYWHERE. Our pool guy came out and guess what? He didn't notice it was leaking. What.The.Fuck!?!?!?! The pool filter is squirting water, creating a pool of water by the back gate where he goes in and out of, and Poolman is telling me the pool guy didn't notice?! Negligent, that's what I say. My husband and I have probably made a dozen calls to this place to resolve issues, this being one of them. They initially came out days after to fix the leak, but it was a shotty job and leaked all over the place. IT TOOK THIS COMPANY TWO WEEKS after that for them to come back and fix this problem, so meanwhile our pool filter is squirting water, increasing our water bill, and they can't even fix it within a couple days of their own fuck up?! Honestly, I'm surprised this company is still in business. They also charged our landlords in the upper HUNDREDS of dollars to fix this issue, but that was only after a solid 4 weeks of it not getting fixed, and us having to complain. Another issue has been that our pool filter doesn't have a working pressure gauge. When I brought this to the attention of a manager, he made it seem like this was no big deal. I flat out told this company that whatever needs to be done with the pool, PLEASE DO IT! And if the landlords can't pay for it, TELL US! WE WILL PAY FOR IT! But they seem like they're employing half-assed dimwits who have absolutely no experience with pools or even customer service for that matter...because THEY DON'T FIX ANYTHING! Unless you bring it to their attention, and wait 4-6 weeks, maybe, just maybe you'll get your pool fixed.. After telling them that I NEED THEM TO BE PROACTIVE, guess what happened? They changed our pool guy to someone new, and in the past 5 weeks he has missed 2 weeks of cleaning & chemical balancing. So, let me ask you this Poolman...what am I and my landlords paying hundreds of dollars for??????????? I guess I'm paying for the following: -Forgetting to empty baskets. -Forgetting to come AT ALL for regularly scheduled cleanings & chemical balancing. -Customer service to not get back to me for at least a week after I call them. -I'm paying Poolman to take ABSOLUTELY NO proactive steps to make sure my pool is in good, functioning order. I'd rather tell my landlords to convert the pool back to chlorine only and get rid of this shitty service altogether so both they, and I, don't have to deal with this shady, no good company any longer. Trust me, there are hundreds of better pool service companies in the valley to dump your dollars into, that will be money well spent!
