  • Leaving this review as the grandparent, not the parent. Having 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild I know what to look for in a pre-school. Visiting quite often and seeing how the school runs, I find it time to leave a review with my opinion. Creative Kids has been around for over 36 years, my own daughter attended creative kids when she was a child. It's great to see such a small company still going strong and continuing to thrive. Blue Diamond is their newest location. Its beautiful, especially compared to their older locations. Love that this location has the pin code security, a hand print computer and the chip policy. my grandchild loves sliding into school using the slide. That's one way to trick them into coming! The open door policy allows for me to come in at any time and visit (or spy!) on my grandchild at any time when I am in town. The video monitors they have come in handy often. I know if she saw me peeking in she would begin crying and want me to take her. I wish the video monitors were available from home, but currently that feature is unavailable. The office staff is friendly and always greets me as I enter or leave. My grandchild's teacher Pam is amazing. She is an older lady (my age) who is so personal. All the children love her and my grandchild talks about her non stop. My daughter even told me she received Teacher Of The Year and I am not surprised one bit. You can tell when a teacher loves her job and Pam certainly does. During the holidays she went out of her way to create an amazing snowman ornament that had the children's name on them. My granddaughter started without knowing her alphabet, shapes or colors. Was she a bit behind? I would say yes because she had never been in a childcare setting before. In the last few months I've spoken with her she now knows her shapes, how to draw them, her alphabet, and how to spell her name. I was quite surprised at how much she learned in such a short period of time. The creative Kids lesson plan seems to have fun activities to do, in which the children think they are playing but instead they are learning unknowingly. I can't wait to see how much more she learns in the next few months. I would give it five stars but I do not like their snack. I believe that they could offer healthier options instead of crackers and cereal. We currently bring her a snack.
