| - This is a review for their Brunch.
Considering the swanky location, I was actually shocked that this place was practically empty at 11am, while lets say, Portland Variety, is always packed! Anyway, no complaint here. Greeted by the hostess, who was friendly and let us pick whichever table we wanted to sit at. The servers were friendly and attentive, ours was professional and gracious. We ordered latte, which was very foamy and yummy. Our food did take a while to come but they're worth the wait! We ordered the pancake to share, which was stacked 4 high and each cake was huge. You know how Mildred's is known for their buttermilk pancake? Well, Lavelle's pancake is definitely a strong contender! I ordered the pork belly benedict for myself and it was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was different, but yummy! The eggs benny was cooked to perfection and the pork belly added a great dose of saltiness and crunch! Definitely will order that again next time! The brunch pricing is standard, typical King St West pricing, which I found to be a nice surprise!
I recommend this place for brunch! Take your girlfriends! Guys would feel a bit out place in this place
