| - I first want to say that having bed bugs in my own home was pretty much my worst nightmare! I never thought I would be dealing with this problem in my home, and I also didn't realize how little I really knew about these annoying pests!
My first mistake was that I did not call Phoenix Bed Bug Expert first! I first called 2 companies(which will remain nameless) who both came over and assessed the situation, WHICH ONLY INCLUDED LOOKING AT MY MATTRESS. They did not give me any sort of relief to say the least. They basically told me what I already knew, which was that my mattress had bed bugs. They did not check any other areas, they were in and out of the house ready to take my money instead of taking the time to explain the situation and to actually look at other parts of the house! Needless to say I was not only extremely annoyed at this point but I was frustrated and mentally exhausted dealing with this entire situation.
I finally called Phoenix Bed Bug Expert and I knew immediately that I had called the right place. Not only were they professional and intelligent, they understood how important it was to get this situation fixed and made time for me right away.
Alex came over that following morning to assess the situation. Without me having to basically ask for a thorough check, he looked at everything, including the baseboards, ceiling, carpet, bed and box spring, the other beds in the house, dressers, headboard, nightstands, couch, pillows. Alex knows that bed bugs don't just live in beds and he was so great in taking the time to really check the house.
I knew from that moment that this was the company that I would hire to take care of this problem and I had complete trust in them. He gave me a list of procedures to do before he sprayed so everything would be sprayed in the best possible way. I followed his instructions and a few days later he was over at my house spraying everything. You have to stay out of the house for at least 6 hours after they spray, so I took that opportunity to go to a laundromat to wash and dry clothes, bedding, pillows, towels etc...
Phoenix Bed Bug Expert gave me a lot of great information regarding bed bugs and the best way to protect myself from them. I had no idea you could get them from so many places and how fast they multiply. I keep my house very clean and I learned that bed bugs have nothing to do with cleanliness. They are just attracted to people plain and simple. You can get them from a nicest hotel, restaurant, where you work etc...
The price was extremely fair and I was also happy to know that my dog would be safe in the house after the 6 hour waiting period.
It has only been a few weeks, but so far so good. I was given a 6 month guarantee with the spraying and told to call them immediately if I see another live bed bug.
Alex and his team are wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! I pray that I never have to deal with this again but I if I do they will be my first call. It feels great to be able to sleep again after an entire month of not sleeping, due to the bites I was getting and not knowing where they were coming from. As I said from the beginning, there was no way they could be bed bugs! I was wrong and now I will be extremely cautious when staying sleeping anywhere but my own house. 1/4 houses in Phoenix have bed bugs and probably don't even know it! Don't be afraid to check out your surroundings before staying somewhere, it could save you a lot of grief.
