Spent the last few days at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center for dad's neck surgery. What a great staff they have there! I've been in a few hospitals the last few years for one thing or another and this experience was so different. Everyone was kind and patient, always asking what they could do to make anyone more comfortable. Keeping us all informed as to what the next steps were at all times. They let dad sleep when he needed it, opting to wait until he woke up to have him sign a paper ... Heck, the lady who delivered his lunch even asked if I needed food or a soda, too. Hospitals with the IV alarms going off and announcements of traumas coming in are never fun, but caring nurses, doctors, volunteers and orderlies can make all the difference.
