The owner and founder Rob invited me down. I had heard of the place through another trainer and friends as well. So I was excited to give it a go.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. The only spin I had ever done was through LVAC classes offered and truth be told.... they aren't really spin.
I showed up a little earlier than the 930 start time.
Rob personally showed me how to adjust my seat and also how to determine where it should be. He explained all the resistance levels and even demonstrated how to ride properly while standing, how my feet should try to stay positioned and best way to sit to avoid feeling your bum sore the next day.
Once the class started..... I knew I was home.
This place is promoted as a little bit of church, the club and a gym.
It's messaged based cycling and intended to bring you back to yourself, center your mind, and work your body. Mission accomplished on every point.
All of the folks who attended were super kind and inviting.
My favorite part is when the place goes dark and you just ride it out in total darkness with an energy completely unparalleled.
As a BONUS... when you're new, your first ride is completely free. You can often find them on Groupon as well. If you want to drop in for a single ride it's only $15. You have other monthly options as well.
I CANNOT wait to go again tomorrow for the "LIVE ride" where the resident DJ is in house and I'm so glad I joined the Revolution!!
