I give this place 2 stars for the following reasons. I rarely leave negative reviews, this is not a negative review, it's an attempt to tell management to wake up and start paying attention to the details. the owner "or name" attached to this place as a celebrity Chef means very little to me as the following points are well deserved comments.
1. Why do you serve a pickle spear on top of the lettuce tomato onion? Who wants to eat a pickle spear? This should be 3-4 dill pickle chips so that the sourness complements the burger in every other way.
2. Why is the lettuce soggy and setting on the side on a piece of paper tray cover? Your line cooks miss this fine detail that lettuce is washed in cold water and slapped dry to stay crisp.
3. Good job on the thin sliced red onions, every one thick slices the onion and it ruins the burger.
4. Your skinny fries suck. If in-n-out can make fresh fries so can you. Also I notice you use "stealth" or "coated " fries to make them stay crispy longer. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Your little square paper bags are nothing more than portion control tools.
5. Whats with the funky square metal tin trays? It looks cool and gastro-pubby but it's just another way some bean counter at corporate figured out that tin flat trays are cheaper than plates. And they don't break. Buy some plates.
6. Your prices are beyond fair. $11-12 for a burger and fries well done. Nice location. Nice ambiance, I like the beer coolers with glass doors. Your beer taps should be behind the counter on the wall. Shorter runs, less waste, less foam, also you increase seating at the bar.
7. This is good and bad. Thank you for linen and nice silverware. Next time can i have my silverware roll before I eat half my burger and have to ask the guy next to me for some paper cocktail napkins to wipe my face?
8. I don't expect you to change anything because I like the place, but alot of people notice this stuff and you should be better.
