  • It took 21 days to fix my backup camera. 21. Twenty-one. That occurred over three separate trips to the dealership. Thankfully I requested a loaner car on the third occasion, which turned out to be the longest stint without my leased car - 15 days in a row! I drive a Sonata SE but was given a base model Elantra as my rental. It took the dealership so long to figure out what the problem was with my backup camera (it would sometimes not come on at all and other times would come on with lines through it). The service techs would guess one thing, order a part, the wrong part would come in, they would reorder it, get the right part, figure out that wasn't the problem and then start from scratch. It was nearly comical. At vehicle pickup time, when that finally came, I was helped immediately when I arrived and was literally only there for 5 minutes, but the customer service was nonexistent. The man who gave me my keys back did not apologize for the fact that it took so long to fix my car. When I got in my car I saw they had unplugged my iPhone cable and not plugged in back in. Their "car wash" also left water spots all over my car that were actually visually more annoying than plain dirt would have been. On top of that they left a CD that I had in my CD player --- in the cup holder! They had to replace my radio so I understand the CD had to come out, but they should have put it back in when they were done. Or at least in an envelope or face up on the seat, but the cup holder - not such a smart idea. And to top it all off they didn't even set the time correctly on my new radio or apologize to me that all my radio station presets were lost. A really, really nice touch would have been to write down my presets before removing the old radio and setting them back for me, but they missed an opportunity to win over a customer. I will not return to my have vehicle served at this dealership ever again even though it is 5 miles from my house. The management is unapologetic and the service technicians are clearly not the best. If I happen to need more warranty work I will drive farther to another Hyundai dealership. I would suggest to management to create a series of checklists. A checklist for vehicle return. A checklist of things to look for if the backup camera doesn't work. A checklist of what to do after installing a new radio, etc...
