| - To be honest, I was VERY VERY hesitant about this company since the reviews were not so great. The Peruvian Inca Trail is once in a life-time experience, and we put our trust in G-Adventures and were not disappointed!
It is pure luck in my opinion when you go on a tour with a group. You cross your fingers you'll be compatible with the tour guide(s) and fellow folks in your group.
We first learned about G-Adventures at a Marathon Expo, and decided to give it a try.
We booked our Peru trip (Inca Trail) in mid-August, and went on the trip mid-November.
Rambo (aka Yenrri Cabrera Chacon) was our lead Tour Guide. His first impression was eh, but as you get to know him, he's such a fun, caring, and interesting guide.
Edison Candia Romero, our secondary guide, was so caring and fantastic! Edison was a good compliment to Rambo.
Our group (11 total) was fantastic! They were from all over the world and everyone's different personality made the trip memorable.
We had 21 amazing porters, 1 sous chef, and 1 chef. They are truly inspiring and they make my job look too easy. They do this crazy trail 5 days a week with 2 days off. They set up camp, cook, and tear down camp and ran to the next site before we even get there--how is that POSSIBLE???!!!!
