| - We wanted to move from 1BR to 2BR -- we had just signed a new lease in the 1BR and they had given us a coupon for free carpet cleaning. We searched the grounds with a leasing agent, found the 2BR we wanted and began the paperwork. They started telling us we'd have to pay the $60 to clean our 1BR carpet. We reminded them we had the coupon, it was our one year free carpet cleaning -- they did not care they said if we move to a 2BR the coupon is invalid - they just were forcing us to pay the $60 and quite frankly we didn't feel it was right, so we stood our ground and low and behold -- we are not moving. I wrote an email to their corporate in San Diego and they told us the same thing explaining to us that each person that leaves has to pay for the cleaning of the carpet for the next tenant (WTF) .....anyways, their business practice, ethics, and attitudes prevented us from upgrading. HOW dumb of them? There are EMPTY 2 BR's all over this property........... we were ready to write a new deposit and move across the complex into a place that has been empty over a month and is STILL empty -- -- ya like you, I should have read the reviews on Yelp before moving here but that's okay -- live and learn. Customer service is not practiced here and when you move plan to pay for the painting, cleaning and carpet cleaning out of your pocket/deposit - period. They told us the 2BR we wanted to move to had clean carpet due to the last tenant paying for it, as we were expected to pay to clean ours - whatever. We're saving money and they're losing money, genius. This place makes me angry.
PS Bad management is the reason why people throw their trash into the trash area / miss the can's and NOT pick it up -- truly.
To add to this: our bath tub was cracking it looks like rather than replace it they painted over it a few times so now it was cracking and in addition to be ugly - it was a safety hazard as someone could get cut on the big cracked pieces of paint exposed. So they finally had someone fix it -- long story short it rendered our shower unusable for three days and when my patience was running short, I called the office and got to hear the story about how the guy that was fixing it had a family emergency -- she told me that I could use the shower at the pool.
Yes, she told me if I wanted to -- I could use the shower at the pool.
