| - This gym is strictly for Edge fitness on Blue Diamond, it is a gym that just gets the job done. Nothing special, my previous gym that I went to was LVAC and was tired of the drive and always having a problem with billing. Edge was across my house, 24/7 so I thought why not.
Let me start with memberships, I first bought a groupon for 14$ to try the gym out for a month, after liking the closeness of the gym I started telling my friends to join me so we could go together. My one friend decided to join and get a real membership right away. They gave him month to month for 20$ no contract no enrollment fee. The next week, I say I want a real membership, they tell me I have to pay a enrollment fee and I have to sign up for a 2 year contract. It Pissed me off kind of bad, because why do I have to do a two year contract. If you have a rule, stick to a rule.
The gym has cool artwork on the wall and try to have special things (Olympic lifting section, heavy ropes) that other gyms don't have, and lots of kettle bells to work with. Other then that it needs more ab machines. And when the main office closes and it's after hours there is never paper towels in the bathroom, one time the toilet clogged and flooded the entire bathroom(so disgusting!)
The music in the gym is all EDM, all the time. So bring your headphones you will need it.
It is a small gym, but never busy enough like LVAC to complain about, you can always get work in, unless the machines are also broken, which the cardio machines usually are.
If you live in the area Edge Fitness is convenient and gets the job done, they sell supplements and protein shakes for when the main office is open. If you don't want to drive far to places like LVAC, it's the gym for you.
