  • Went to Sambalatte this morning to try the Nutella latte. First, the latte was good, not too sweet which I appreciated... but it wasn't $6.77 good. Yes, I paid almost $7 for a 12oz almond milk Nutella latte. I'm from Seattle so I understand paying good money for a cup of coffee, but that was crazy. It was just good. Three pumps of liquid Nutella... The atmosphere was a downer. I came in at 7:30am and the vibe was kind of depressing. No music, no laughing or happy greetings and the workers looked super unhappy. There were five customers in line and they complained they had been waiting over five minutes and the line hadn't moved. I think it was because the couple at the counter was trying to decide on pastries. I was annoyed at first too, but when I got up to the pastry display case I understood why they had so many questions... none of the pastries were labeled. I wanted a pastry too, but not a mystery pastry. This may have just been an off morning for this place, but I don't think I will go back...
