  • Le Petit Hotel is now my home-away-from-home when visiting Montreal. It is perfectly situated in Old Montreal. You're walking distance from countless shops, restaurants, and the Basilica. Whether during the day or at night, it feels safe here and the atmosphere is inherently romantic with the cobblestone streets, soft lighting at night, and French all around. Right outside the hotel in the alleyway, the city has an art installation so don't be alarmed if you open the curtains in your room and see floating apparitions on the street. The rooms at Le Petit Hotel are what I call hipstoric (hipster and historic). The decor is perfect, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they use Le Labo products. In fact, they used the same scent as my perfume, Santal. The continental breakfast is pretty standard. The option for espresso drinks at any time is a nice touch. I enjoyed my daily chocolate croissant and latte. More than anything though, what makes Le Petit Hotel special is the staff. They were unbelievably friendly, attentive, and helpful. They had the best suggestions on what to do, see, where to eat, and how to get around. I'll be back... hopefully sooner than later!
