  • I recently purchased a used Volkswagen here and had an excellent experience. Every employee I dealt with at Camelback Volkswagen/Mazda/Subaru (both in sales and service) have been exceptional professionals who seem truly dedicated to customer care. I test drove the Vehicle with Chris Patel but we both decided it was out of my price range. A couple days later, Chris followed up and said the vehicle had been "starred" for quick sale (don't know if this is a sales technique, but either way, it ended up win/win), I told him my price and he said he thought they could do it. I drove down that night, and Chris had gone home, but Amy Dudley in Internet sales helped me out. I had a written offer for the price I needed, in less than 20 minutes. Silly me, I decided to check one more dealership before deciding, I went over to a certain Kia dealership on Scottsdale Blvd, and gave them an offer on a vehicle I was interested in. I told them straight out, if you can't give me my price just let me know and I'll be on my way. Apparently that's not their style. After wasting over an hour and listening to a bunch silly drama and theatrics (think Crazy Larry's used cars commercials from the 80's), they offered me $2000 over my price. Guess it was a slow night and they had nothing better to do than waste time. I grabbed my keys and scooted out of there. The deal at Camelback Volkswagen was way better, but what really sealed the deal was asking myself..."who would I rather deal with for my maintenance and other issues for the next few years? Grown up professionals, or, well...something slightly less desirable? ". Camelback won that competition hands down. I got a air purifying treatment on the vehicle, so I also dealt with the service department. Ricky Paruch was my primary point of contact there, and he was extremely professional and communicative. They got me in one of their free loaner cars within 10 minutes, kept me regularly updated on the progress of my vehicle. When I returned to pick up the vehicle, even though they were swamped, Ricky took the time to patiently show me a number of features on the vehicle (including how to take out and change the cabin air filter). There are many people I interacted with at this dealership that I am leaving out because if I mentioned them all, I'd be writing three pages. Bottom line is, if you want to have a grown up, professional experience buying a vehicle , come see these people, you won't regret it. They've won the regional customer service award for 12 years on a row, and it is obvious why. Thanks Camelback VW.
