Located in a good strip of bars near St Lawrence Market the Flatiron and Firkin is a cool little bar with a distinctly British feel. Inside and outside seating is offered catering for a large number of patrons.
The drinks menu includes ales, lagers, wines and spirits. This is accompanied by an extensive food menu that includes sliders, platters, all day breakfasts and staple British mains such as burgers and chips and bangers and mash. They also have happy hour offers on pints of lager.
As a trio we shared jugs and pints of the house made ale, along with chips, bread and dips to soak it up. Food and drinks were good, but the service was a little slow.
All in all a good venue. It's a close call between 3 and 4 stars and as I can't pick 3.5 I'm giving it 3.
