| - So let me say not all Toyota dealerships are the same. I had some lack luster experiences with others this week, in an attempt to find a very specific Tacoma. Camelback gave me a different experience and for the first time in my life I bought an essentially new (2017 with under 30 miles) vehicle. Also, I worked with some awesome Uniformed Service Veterans, and they took care of this vet.
Adam Crump was my first contact and he was not at all pushy nor did he try to get me to buy something else in stock, if it didn't fit my needs. When I met him he was very cordial and friendly, not pushy like I have experienced on other lots. I had a trade in and was having heartburn about this and a newer vehicle; I was always told it was a chump who bought new off the lot. He explained the trade in processes for me and was actually nice about it. He explained the negotiation and how it was his job to make it easy. He was not pushy at all when I did not want add-ons. He got me a great price on my trade in. Then it was time to finance.
I was already approved through USAA, and met both Brandon Roberson and his boss (forgive me I forgot her name) both Veterans. I initially declined the protective coverages (the Platinum Service Agreement) because my preapproval amount and the coverage would have put me over a monthly payment I could afford. They worked to lower my rate and extend the loan, as well as the overall timeframe for the coverage, and got me back to the monthly payment amount I was at prior to. Needless to say I financed with Toyota, and I am telling you I very rarely write a five star review on anything.
A new Toyota will last you forever, and having seen some accidents on an up north interstate heavily traveled by semi-trucks, a Toyota, car or truck, will give you a much better chance of walking away unscathed.
